OPAD nodes are part of the verification module. They are intentionally designed to prioritize privacy, lightweight (less than 1MB per month), and operate effectively even with sporadic activity. They facilitate global connectivity and are essential for maintaining the availability of computational resources.
By utilizing OPAD Nodes, you become an integral component of a widespread connectivity framework, which is fundamental to our vision of an open and ubiquitous computing infrastructure.
Linear Distribution: Node operators receive rewards for operating their node. Up to 30% of the total token supply is allocated for OPAD Node operators.
Transaction Fees: Node operators can earn additional rewards through transaction fees generated by other applications on the network. This token stream increases as network activity rises.
Network Security Role: By engaging in the validation process, node operators play a vital role in enhancing the network's security, helping to thwart fraud and ensuring the integrity of transaction records.
Reputation and Influence: Running an OPAD Node can bolster an operator's standing within the OPAD Protocol ecosystem, potentially granting them governance rights and a voice in future developments and protocol updates.
Airdrops: OPAD Node holders receive regular airdrops from projects launching on the OPAD Protocol.
Governance: OPAD Node holders will have the ability to govern the OPAD Protocol and influence the network's future direction.
Completeness: This evaluates whether the data is intact or if any elements are missing, ensuring all necessary data points are present for the intended purpose.
Consistency: This examines the uniformity of the data across various data sets or within the same data set over time.
Timeliness: This assesses whether the data is current and available when required.
Availability: This measures how accessible the data from each node is.
The OpenPad test verifier is currently running on the Arbitrum One network. Verifier License owner: can test and explore the verifier nodes before the mainnet goes live. You can participate in two ways: through delegation or by managing your own node.
Delegation: You have the option to delegate your node license to any active nodes listed on the explorer. This is the easiest way to engage, as you won’t need to oversee the nodes yourself. However, it’s crucial to select a node with sufficient uptime; otherwise, you won’t earn rewards. If the node maintains adequate uptime, you’ll receive rewards after deducting the commission rate set by the node. Delegation can also reduce the costs associated with running a node on your own.
Operating Your Own Nodes: If you choose to operate your own node, you will be responsible for ensuring its uptime and managing any software updates. This route also allows you to receive delegations from the community. We offer various options for running your own node; please check for more details.
Anyone can use verifiers to check results for personal purposes, but only authorized verifiers with a License Key can participate in on-chain consensus and receive rewards.
The purchase page will be available soon.
After buying a node license, it will be sent as an NFT to the buyer's wallet. Only this wallet can operate the node and earn token rewards.
Node licenses cannot be transferred initially.
Verifier Wallet: This hot wallet is used to create verification transactions and must be linked to your primary wallet, which holds the License Key.
The OPAD Protocol does not utilize your nodes or monitor your activities. It simply directs internet traffic through your IP address, keeping your activities entirely separate. This means there’s no access to your personal information. The data collected is entirely public web data.
